Probate Valuations

I offer a comprehensive Probate Valuation Service.

When an estate needs a HMCR probate valuation it must be accurate. I offer a precise and fast valuation of an estates assets. From a basic appraisal to an in depth inventory my years of trading in household and luxury goods provides a realistic valuation of a homes contents.

The process is simple: Contact me for availability. I will call and speak to you about the requirements. A date and time for viewing the contents are agreed. We meet at the property and I will quote on the day. If the valuation is not complex I will make an immediate valuation. (Allow four hours for my visit). The written valuation is sent out the following day by email and recorded delivery.

If the valuation requires an in-depth inventory another visit may be required. This possibility is discussed during the first contact. In most cases the valuation is swift and thorough. I am punctual and work with integrity with a compassionate understanding of families needs.

Valuations include:
Antiques
Furniture

Jewellery

Valuations over £20k are often time consuming. For example there may be certain items which warrant itemised valuation, these will be noted at the time of initial consultation. Assessing large inventory’s can be time consuming, therefore the price is by negotiation. The visit fee is always charged.

I will quote for itemised and recorded valuations. An itemised valuation includes basic description of high value goods and auction prices for similar items. Included is a photographic record of the item.

My invoice is paid by the estate’s solicitors ~ Or by an appointed executor.

Note:

I work fully within HMCR guidelines. Valuations are within the parameters of auction house prices and experience. Itemised valuations include photographic records of the items. I work with the appointed solicitor or executor.

Disposals

I do not normally buy or sell inventory. I can arrange transportation to auction houses or negotiate a sale with a dealer.

Total Disposal

I can arrange for the total disposal of contents. This means the items will not be sold. Total disposal is for the removal of goods for waste disposal. This is a popular option for many families who wish too quickly clear the property (usually the process takes one day).
